भगवान कृष्ण का जन्मदिन, जो हर साल भाद्रपद महीने के कृष्ण पक्ष की अष्टमी तिथि को मनाया जाता है। पौराणिक कथाओं के अनुसार, कृष्ण का जन्म रोहिणी नक्षत्र में आधी रात को हुआ था।
इस दिन को मनाने के लिए, भक्तगण कृष्ण के शिशु रूप, लड्डू गोपाल को स्नान कराते हैं और उन्हें नई पोशाक पहनाते हैं और आधी रात को चंदन का तिलक लगाते हैं।
कुछ लोग कृष्ण को प्रसन्न करने के लिए उपवास रखते हैं और अनुष्ठान करते हैं, उन्हें माखन मिश्री सहित विभिन्न भोग चढ़ाते हैं। ऐसा माना जाता है कि ये प्रसाद नंदलाल को प्रसन्न करते हैं और उनका आशीर्वाद प्राप्त करते हैं।

1 - माखन-मिश्री (Butter and Sugar candy)
जन्माष्टमी के दिन मक्खन और मिश्री का भोग लगाएं ।
आपने धार्मिक ग्रंथों में पढ़ा होगा कि श्री कृष्ण को दूध और उससे बनी हर चीज बेहद पसंद थी, खासकर मक्खन, जिसे वे चुराकर अपने दोस्तों के साथ खाते थे।
इसीलिए उन्हें माखन चोर भी कहा जाता है। ऐसे में जन्माष्टमी के दिन भगवान को शुद्ध मक्खन में मिश्री मिलाकर अर्पित करें।

श्री कृष्ण को यह बहुत पसंद है. इसे शुद्ध गाय के घी में गेहूं के आटे को भूनकर और पंचमेवा और मिश्री पाउडर डालकर बनाया जाता है।

जन्माष्टमी के दिन आप भगवान कृष्ण को श्रीखंड का भोग लगा सकते हैं जिसे शुभ माना जाता है। चूंकि श्रीखंड दही से बनता है, इसलिए नंदलाल को भी यह बहुत पसंद है।

6 - पंचामृत (Panchamrit)
भगवान श्री कृष्ण की पूजा पंचामृत के बिना अधूरी मानी जाती है।
श्री कृष्ण जन्माष्टमी के पावन अवसर पर भगवान का श्रद्धापूर्वक पंचामृत से अभिषेक किया जाता है, जिसे बाद में प्रसाद के रूप में वितरित किया जाता है। तुलसी के पत्तों को शामिल करने से इस अनुष्ठान का आध्यात्मिक महत्व और भी बढ़ जाता है।
