Shri Ram Chalisa

"Shri Ram Chalisa" stands out as one of the widely renowned Hindu devotional hymns dedicated to Lord Rama. This hymn is derived from the initial chapter of Valmiki's Ramayana. It finds its melodic expression during worship on various significant Hindu ceremonies. Comprising seven stanzas, each with an equal number of lines, it holds a special place in the hearts of devotees.

Shri Raghubeer bhakt hitkarii ।

Sunii leejai prabhu araj hamarii ॥ (1)

Nishi din dhyaan dharayi jo koi ।

Ta sam bhakt aur nahin hoyi ॥ (2)

 

Dhyan dharen shiv je man mahii ।

Brahma Indraa paar nahin pahiin ॥ (3)

Doot tumhar veer hanumana ।

Jasu prabhaav tihun pur jaanaa॥ (4)

 

Jai, Jai, Jai raghunath kripalaa ।

Sadaa karo santan pratiipalaa ॥ (5)

Tuv bhuj danda prachanda kripalaa।

Tum anath ke nath gosayin ।

Deenan ke ho sada sahayie ॥ (7)

Brahmadik tav paar na pavain।

Chariiu bhed bharat hain sakhii।

Gun gawat sharad man maheen ।

Naam tumhaar let jo koi।

Ta sam dhanya aur nahiin hoyi ॥ (11)

Ram nam hai apram paaraa ।

Chariihu vedan jahi pukaraa ॥ (12)

 

Ganpati naam tumharo leenho ।

Tinko pratham poojya tum kiinho ॥ (13)

Shesh ratat nit nam tumharaa ।

Mahi ko bhar sheesh par dharaa ॥ (14)

 

Phool saman rahat so bhaaraa ।

Pawat kou na tumharoo paraa ॥ (15)

Bharat nam tumharoo ur dharoo।

Nam Shatruuhan hriday prakashaa ।

Sumiirat hot shatru kar nashaa॥ (17)

Lakhan tumhare aagyakarie ।

Tate ran jete nahin koi ।

Yuddha jure yamhun kin hoyi ॥  (19)

Maha lakshmi dhar avataraa ।

Seeta ram punetaa gayo ।

Bhuwane shwari prabhav dikhayoo ॥ (21)

Ghat saun prakat bhayi so aayi ।

Jako dekhat chandra lajaee ॥ (22)

 

Jo tumharre nit panva pallotat ।

Navvo niddhi charanan me lotat ॥ (23)

Siddhi atharaha mangal kare ।

So tum par jave bali hare ॥ (24)

 

Aurahu jo anek prabhutayi  ।

So seeta pati tumahi banayi ॥ (25)

Iksha te kotin sansaraa ।

Rachat naa lagat pal ki bara ॥ (26)

 

Jo tumharre charranan chit lavai।

Taki mukti avasii ho javai ॥ (27)

Sunahu Ram tum taat humare ।

Tumahin bharat kul pojyaa prachare ॥ (28)

 

Tumahin dev kul dev hamare ।

 Tum guru dev praan ke pyare ॥ (29)

Jo kuchh ho so tumahin raja ।

 Jai Jai Jai prabhu rakho laja  ॥ (30)

Jai Jai Jai Dashrath ke pyarre ॥ (31)

Jay jay jay prabhu jyoti swarupa।

Nargun Brahma akhanda anoopaa॥  (32)

 

Satya satya jai satyavrat swami।

 Satya sanatan antar yami ॥ (33)

Satya bhajan tumharo jo gaavayi।

So nishchay charon phal pavayi ॥ (34)

 

Satya shapath gauri pati kinhin।

Tumne bhaktihin sab sidhi deenhin॥ (35)

Gyan hriday do gyan swarupa।

Namo namo jay jagpati bhupa ॥ (36)

 

Dhannya Dhannya tum Dhannya pratapa ।

Nam tumhar harat santapaa ॥ (37)

Satya shuddhh devan mukh gaya।

Bajii dundubhi shankh bajayaa ॥ (38)

 

Satya satya tum Satya Sanatan ।

Tum hi ho humare tan mann dhan ॥ (39)

Yako path kare jo koi।

Gyan prakat take ur hoyi॥(40)

 

Aawa gaman mitayi tihi kera

Satya vachan mane shiv mera ॥ (41)

Aur aas man me jo hoyi

Man vankshit phal pave soyi (42)

 

Teenahuun kal dhyan jo lyave।

Tulsi dal aru phool chadhavai ॥ (43)

Saag patra so bhog lagavayi।

So nar sakal siddhata pavai ॥(44)

 

Anta samaye raghubar pur jaie।

Jahan janma hari bhakt kahayi ॥ (45)

Shri haridas kahai aru gavayi ।

So baikunth dham ko paavai ॥ (46)
