Prakash Parv is considered the highest festival in the Sikh sect. Hence, this festival is called Guru Gobind Singh Prakash Parv.
Shri Guru Gobind Singh was born on 22 December 1666, Paush Shukla Saptami Tithi, in Patna Sahib. There are some differences regarding the date of the English calendar, Panchang Tithi and the date of Nanakshahi Jantri (calendar), but this Prakash Parv is celebrated with the highest recognition on Paush Shukla Saptami Tithi.
