Bahula Chauth / Bahula chaturthi katha is one of the great story of Bahula cow. Bahula Chauth or Bahula Chaturthi is celebrated on the day of Sankashti Chaturthi of Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapad month. 

It is said that by observing this fast, a person gets wealth and child happiness.

बहुला चौथ / बहुला चतुर्थी से जुड़ी एक प्रसिद्ध कथा है जो काफी रोचक है। 

• एक बार भगवान कृष्ण की दिव्य लीला के दौरान सभी देवी-देवताओं ने ग्वालों और ग्वालिनों का रूप धारण कर लिया था
• कामधेनु नामक एक दिव्य गाय भी भगवान कृष्ण की सेवा करना चाहती थी। ऐसा करने के लिए, उसने अपना एक अंश बहुला नामक गाय में बदल लिया और नंद बाबा की गौशाला में पहुँच गई। 
• भगवान कृष्ण को बहुला गाय से गहरा लगाव हो गया। एक दिन, उन्होंने उसकी भक्ति की परीक्षा लेने का फैसला किया। 
• जब बहुला चरने के लिए जंगल में गई, तो भगवान कृष्ण शेर के वेश में उसके सामने प्रकट हुए। 
• पहले तो भयभीत होकर, बहुला ने हिम्मत जुटाई और शेर से बोली, "हे वन के राजा, मेरा बछड़ा भूखा है। मुझे वापस लौटने और अपने बछड़े को खिलाने की अनुमति दें, और मैं आपका भोजन बनकर आपके पास वापस आने का वचन देती हूँ।"
• लेकिन शेर को संदेह हुआ और उसने कहा, "मैं अपने सामने पहले से मौजूद शिकार को कैसे छोड़ सकता हूँ? अगर तुम वापस नहीं लौटी तो मैं भूख से मर जाऊँगा।" 
• तब बहुला ने सत्य और धर्म की शपथ ली और वापस लौटने का वादा किया। 
• उसकी ईमानदारी से प्रभावित होकर, शेर, जो वास्तव में भगवान कृष्ण थे, ने उसे जाने दिया। 
• बहुला वापस लौटी, अपने बछड़े को खिलाया और फिर वादे के मुताबिक वापस आई।
• बहुला की भक्ति और ईमानदारी से प्रभावित होकर, भगवान कृष्ण ने अपना असली रूप प्रकट किया और कहा, "हे बहुला, तुमने सफलतापूर्वक परीक्षा पास कर ली है। 
• अब से, तुम भाद्रपद चतुर्थी के दिन गौ माता के रूप में पूजनीय रहोगी। जो लोग इस दिन तुम्हारी पूजा करेंगे, उन्हें धन और संतान की प्राप्ति होगी।

There is a well-known story associated with Bahula Chaturthi that is quite captivating. 

• Once, during the divine play of Lord Krishna, all the gods and goddesses took on the forms of cowherds and milkmaids. 
• A celestial cow named Kamdhenu also desired to serve Lord Krishna. 
• To do so, she transformed a part of herself into a cow named Bahula and arrived at Nand Baba's cowshed.
• Lord Krishna developed a deep affection for the cow Bahula. One day, he decided to test her devotion.
• When Bahula went to the forest to graze, Lord Krishna appeared before her in the guise of a lion. Terrified at first, Bahula mustered her courage and spoke to the lion, "O King of the Forest, my calf is hungry. Allow me to return and feed my calf, and I promise to come back to you as your meal."
• The lion, however, was skeptical and said, "How can I let go of the prey that is already in front of me? If you don't return, I will starve to death." 
• Bahula then took a solemn vow of truth and righteousness, promising to return. 
• Moved by her sincerity, the lion, who was actually Lord Krishna, allowed her to go. Bahula returned, fed her calf, and then came back as promised.
• Impressed by Bahula's devotion and honesty, Lord Krishna revealed his true form and said, "O Bahula, you have successfully passed the test. 
• From now on, you will be revered as Gau Mata on the day of Bhadrapada Chaturthi. Those who worship you on this day will be blessed with wealth and children."
