When and how to do Ganpati Visarjan


Bappa is immersed on the day of Anant Chaturdashi. During the immersion, devotees dance, sing, splash colors and bid farewell to Bappa with pomp and show.

  • Ganpati immersion should always be done in water. First of all, spread a yellow or red cloth on a wooden plate and make a swastika on it. Place the idol of Ganpati in a pot with unbroken flowers.
  • Worship Bappa's idol properly, offer fruits and flowers and offer modaks.
  • Immerse Ganesh ji along with the things related to the worship of the idol.
  • After this, pray for forgiveness and wish for Bappa's return next year.
  • According to the Panchang, only by immersing in auspicious time and according to the rituals, one gets the blessings of Bappa.
